ABSTRAK
Telah
dilakukan optimasi ekstraksi senyawa α-mangostin dari kulit buah Garcinia mangostana Linn. dengan metoda
maserasi, perkolasi dan sokletasi. Masing-masing metoda menggunakan 100 mg
sampel dengan 600 mL n-heksana sebagai pelarut pertama dan 600 mL diklorometana
(DCM) sebagai pelarut kedua . Dari ketiga metoda ini, terlihat bahwa metoda
sokletasi menghasilkan nilai rendemen ekstrak tertinggi yaitu sebesar 6,57 %.
Selanjutnya dilakukan penentuan kadar senyawa α-mangostin dari masing-masing
ekstrak menggunakan TLC scanner. Fase
diam yang digunakan adalah plat silika 60 GF254 dan fase geraknya
DCM:metanol (49:1). Hasil penentuan kadar yang paling besar terdapat pada
ekstrak yang diperoleh dari sokletasi yaitu sebesar 67,76 %.
ABSTRACT
The optimization of
extraction of α-mangostin compound from the pericarp Garcinia mangostana Linn was performed
by applying three methods,
which were maceration, percolation and soxhletation.
Each method used a 100 mg samples
with 600 mL of n-hexane as the first solvent and 600 mL of dichloromethane
(DCM) as the second solvent. Of the three
methods, the method of soxhletation produced the highest yield of extract which
was 6.57%. Then the α-mangostin level of each extract were determined by using TLC scanner. The stationary phase used was 60 GF254 silica plate and mobile
phase was DCM: methanol (49:1). It was found that the highest level was on the extracts obtained from soxhletation
that was 67.76%. methanol (49:1).
